A. Eckstein studied economics at the University of Wuppertal and finished his B.Sc. in 2016. This was followed by the Master's degree in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Since October 2019, he worked as a research assistant at the chair of Industrial Organization and Innovation at the University of Wuppertal. In 2025, he completed his doctorate on the subject “Entrepreneurial Orientation: An Investigation of the Stability of a Firm's Fundamental Strategic Posture and Its Links to Imitation Behavior and Sustainability” with magna cum laude honours.
